BGT joins student-led ed as board member

We are proud to announce that our Founder & CEO, Brittany Gail Thomas, is the newest member of the Board of Directors for Student-Led Ed!

Student-Led Ed is a nonprofit that provides “youth-led, digital, sliding-scale professional development solutions to improve school culture and amplify student voice, particularly for students who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+.” Its mission is “to bridge the gap between youth and adults by having youth share their knowledge, perspectives, and wisdom in order to revolutionize the way educators and students learn nationwide.” Student-Led Ed empowers student voices to transform the way they’re educated in the wake of social injustice.

BGT is so honored to join this organization and supports its mission! She says, “The fact that it’s a non-profit inspired by the voices of Chicago’s youth is the cherry on top! Chicago is where I was born, raised, and received my primary and secondary education. What an honor!”
